Drink Beer and Save the World at Wynkoop

In Beer News, Breweries by Chris

Wynkoop Brewing Company just released their Cottonwood Organic White beer, with a portion of each sale going to the Cottonwood Institute, a nonprofit group that according to their website: “is on a mission to connect diverse students to the outdoors and empower them to take action to improve their schools, the community, and the environment for future generations.”

Beer for a good cause.  What could be bad about that?

Apparently, this beer really divided our group.  I enjoyed the Cottonwood Organic White beer.  An unfiltered and organic wheat beer, I found it really mild and refreshing with just the slightest citrus finish from the kaffir lime leaf.  My friend Jessica also tried it, and thought it was just okay.  Other members of our group, including Jeff, didn’t care for it at all.  One thought it was stinky, something I still don’t quite understand!

It’s true that not every beer is for everyone, so you may love or hate this one.  I for one thought it was a good beer for a good cause, and enjoyed two pints.  I suggest you go to Wynkoop to check it out while you can, and decide for yourself.
