This Weekend Is Going To Be EPIC

The Epic Beer Festival Comes To Denver

This weekend the Epic Beer Festival arrives in Denver with tasting sessions tonight and Saturday. Your Bottle Makes Three team will be at tonight’s inaugural Epic Beer Festival session, working as volunteer pourers. Tomorrow night we’ll return tp the second session as attendees, drinking beer instead of pouring them.

We are regular volunteers at the Great American Beer Festival, so it will be interesting to see how the Epic Beer Festival is different from GABF, the big daddy of beer fests. Will Epic be as “epic” as GABF? Who knows. But there will be plenty of beer, so it’s sure to be a good time. You can bet we’ll have a full recap on the Epic Beer Festival new festival once we recover on Monday.

Also epic? Our new Denver Passport!

As if a beer festival isn’t enough fun for one weekend, we’re also stoked to finally have our Denver Passport! Created by Imbibe Denver and Denver Off the Wagon, the Denver Passport is a booklet of buy-one-get-one drink specials available at 56 Denver-area bars, breweries and restaurants. $10 gets you the passport, and one BOGO drink special at each of the 52 participating watering holes. Once an offer is used, you get a stamp in your passport. We see it as a great way to try new places while saving a bit of dough. It’s also a bit of a challenge. How many offers can we use before the Denver Passport expires on September 2?

Speaking of dough, our first stop with the Denver Passport was at Mario’s Coal Fired Pizza. There we received buy-one-get-one cocktails, which we had as a margarita and mojito. The Denver Passport saved us $8, which we used towards a delicious Mario’s pizza. Just one more stop and this Denver Passport will have paid for itself!

As you can see, our weekend will be full of Epic fests and passport stamps. We hope you have a great one, too!

Cheers!
