The Second Annual Collaboration Fest will be returning to Denver as the headline event of 2015 Colorado Craft Beer Week on Saturday, March 21, 2015. We attended the first Collab Fest last year, and it was such fun that we have high hopes for this second version. You should probably get your tickets now so you don’t miss out.
The Return of Denver’s Collaboration Fest
The inaugural Collaboration Fest took over the Curtis Hotel in March 2014, showcasing over 50 collaborative brews. We were fortunate enough to attend and had a fabulous time and many fantastic beers. For this second annual Collaboration Fest, the organizers are promising even more beers and collaborations. Also, new this year, the fest will be held at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, making the 2015 Collaboration Fest an incredible, once in a lifetime experience that you should not miss.
What is Collaboration Fest?
For those not in the know, the Collaboration Fest gives beer lovers a rare and unique opportunity to taste more than 50 collaborative brews. Each beer is brewed by at least one Colorado Brewers Guild member, in conjunction with one or more additional breweries from both inside and outside of Colorado, including a few breweries from outside the country. Several collaborations feature many breweries working together on one special beer.
There are several very special collaborations to seek out at this event, such as:
- The ladies of Bootstrap Brewing, Strange Craft Beer, Wynkoop Brewing, Big Choice Brewing, Barrels & Bottles Brewing, and CAUTION: Brewing Company will be collaborating on an all-female collaboration beer
- Summit County breweries are coming together for an All-Summit County Collaboration, featuring the Bakers’ Brewery, Breckenridge Brewery, Backcountry Brewery, Dillon Dam Brewery, Broken Compass Brewing, and Pug Ryans Brewing
- Ska Brewing Company is collaborating with Stone Brewing on a Tripel Trippel brewed with Bagstonge Belgian Ale yeast. The beer is being brewed at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens Liberty Station, is called The Mighty Mighty Bastogne*
