Ticket sales begin today for the 2016 Great American Beer Festival.
This is no longer a drill. Now is the time to spring into action so you don’t miss the greatest beer event of the year!
The 35th annual Great American Beer Festival (GABF) will be take place in Denver on October 6-8, 2016. This year the GABF folks have a whopping 800 breweries pouring during their 3-day festival! As you can imagine with a beer fest this awesome, GABF tickets are hot commodities. The festival has sold out the last seven years, and last year it sold out in just an hour. So if you want to attend, now is the time to get ready! Here’s what you need to know about getting your hands on GABF tickets:
Member Pre-Sale: August 2nd at 10:00am MT
If you are a Brewers Association or American Homebrewers Association member, you should have already received an 11-digit personal offer code via email. You’ll need this code to buy pre-sale tickets. If you aren’t already a member, it’s too late to join to get this pre-sale privilege. Be better prepared next year and get signed up early.
The BA/AHA Member pre-sale happens today, Tuesday August 2nd, at 10:00 AM Mountain Time on Ticketmaster.com.
Public Sale: August 3rd at 10:00am MT
If you’re not a BA/AHA member, the public sale tickets go pretty fast. Be prepared. Make sure you have your Ticketmaster account set up and that you are logged in early to speed up the process.
The GABF public ticket sale happens tomorrow, Wednesday August 3rd, at 10:00 AM Mountain Time on Ticketmaster.com.
Miss out on tickets?
Ouch, that must hurt. Unfortunately, once the two official sales have ended your only option to get a ticket is to buy on the secondary market. Just be careful out there, and know you’re going to be paying a premium. Sorry, but that’s the breaks.
Maybe it will help you to know that during GABF week there will be loads of great beer-themed events happening all around Denver. Keep and eye on our Event Calendar as GABF grows near, and you’ll find plenty of ways to drown your sorry in great craft beer, even if you don’t actually make it to the fest.
If you won’t be in Denver at all, you’re always invited to live vicariously through our extensive GABF coverage. We’re increasing our coverage this year, so watch for GABF inspired stories before, during and after this year’s festival. Also follow all our social media shenanigans, since you never know what we may put out there after several hours of beer sampling. So hey, that’s something!
