Happy April Fool’s Day! You could say we deal with April Fool’s all month. After all, spring is the time that Mother Nature loves to prank us Coloradans. She’ll give us warm, sunny days followed by heavy, wet snow; non-stop rain followed by something we like to call “fire weather” warnings. Yep, April’s weather forecast can feel like a never-ending prank. Fortunately, there’s plenty of great indoor events that you can enjoy no matter what the meteorologist throws our way. Below are a few of our favorite Colorado events taking place this month:
10 Awesome April Beer Fests & Events
Lost Highway Brewing Co, 520 E Colfax Ave, Denver
Saturday April 1 from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
After more than 2 years on Colfax, Lost Highway Brewing Company is doing what many of us do eventually – they’re moving to the ‘burbs. To be more specific, they’re moving the brewery to Centennial, and Saturday will be their last day at the current location. To celebrate all the fun they’ve had on the “Longest, Wickedest Street in America,” Lost Highway Brewing is throwing a moving party on Saturday, April 1. There will be music from Jim Dalton & Amigos (2 p.m. to 5 p.m) followed by games and giveaways all night long.
#2 – Rockies Opening Day & National Beer Day

What do you get when you combine Rockies Opening Day with National Beer Day? You get 2 great reasons to play hooky from work and enjoy beer specials and celebrations all around Denver. Take the day off and enjoy Opening Day specials all over downtown Denver, including Rock Bottom Brewery, Mockery Brewing, Zephyr Brewing Company, and many more! Ratio Brewing will also be throwing down for Opening Day with a Patio Party at Hopdoddy Burger Bar. If you’re going to the game, don’t miss the opportunity to pregame at Falling Rock Tap House, where you can get a great craft beer for better price than any beer you’ll find inside Coors Field.

The Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival is one of the coolest events of the spring in the Colorado Rockies! Featuring brews, vendors, and free live music, all surrounded by the beautiful views of Breckenridge. Govnr’s Park Tavern, 672 Logan St, Denver
Saturday, April 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Join Govnr’s Park Tavern for their 8th Annual Beer Festival. Sample from over 100 beers, and vote for your favorite to be put on tap at Gov’s Park after the fest. Plus there’s raffles and giveaways for fun beer swag from all your favorite breweries. Tickets are $20 and available at Govnr’s Park Tavern. All proceeds go to Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods.
#5 Easter Brunch

You can have your eggs and chocolate bunnies, we prefer brunch with eggs, bacon and adult beverages! Several local breweries will be celebrating the holiday with Easter Brunch. Gather your friends and family and get your Easter brunch on at places like Rock Bottom Brewery in Denver, Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons, El Rancho Brewing Company in Evergreen, and Fort Collins Brewery in, duh, Fort Collins. Check with your favorite brewpub or taphouse to see if they’ll be doing brunch and if reservations are needed. Wherever you celebrate, make it a hoppy Easter!

Comrade Brewing is turning 3, and you’re invited to join in their celebration! Did we mention they’d be celebrating with beer, and lots of it? There will be 20 beers on tap including many special releases. Also available will be their limited edition Craft Master Two anniversary glassware by Rastal. You’re going to want one, so get there early!

Join Habitat Denver and 20 of the community’s finest craft breweries for a festival of fun and support the House that Beer Built 2017! There will be two sessions, both taking place at private event space in Great Divide’s Barrel Bar. With a ticket you will receive unlimited beer tastings and a keepsake taster glass. All ticket sales will directly benefit the House that Beer Built initiative.

Friday, April 28 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m
Enjoy an evening of craft beer, live music, and helping the environment. Your ticket includes unlimited samples in a souvenir pint glass, plus live music from The Brothers Comatose, The Drunken Hearts and Chain Station. Proceeds benefit Friends of Red Rocks, Colorado Community Rights Network, The CU Environmental Center, and Falling Fruit.
Mockery Brewing, 3501 Delgany St, Denver
Saturday, April 29 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Join Mockery Brewing for their 2nd annual party in celebration of the 501st anniversary of everybody’s favorite German Beer Purity Law! Mockery promises a grand day of MOCKING & ROCKING the law with new, limited beer releases – all of which break the law. They’ll also have live music by The Polkanauts and a special German menu from Revelry Events. The first 100 people get commemorative steins. Prost!

Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Again this year Avery Brewing will be taking over the tap’s at ALL FIVE Parry’s Pizza locations in one Big Ass Tap Takeover! Enjoy all your Avery favorites plus plenty of rare brews, and chow down on great Parry’s pizza.
