Adulting is hard.
Getting up and going to work 5-days a week can be a real drag. Paying bills, doing laundry, dealing with other adults… it’s all just a bit much, ya know? Sure, we have the freedom to drink beer and stay up late and do mostly whatever we want. But is it really a fair trade-off compared to all the fun and freedom we had as kids? Even when we do have free time we’re often too busy or too tired to go out and have fun. The fact is, as adults we rarely set aside time to just play and have fun. That’s why when we heard about Ale’s, Apps and Barrels of Fun we were as giddy as two kids waking up to a surprise snow day. This is going to be fun!
Introducing Ales, Apps and Barrels of Fun
Mark your calendars and hire a babysitter for Thursday, February 1, 2018, then get your tickets for Ales, Apps and Barrels of Fun, a new adults-only beer festival at the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus. Beer festivals are nothing new in this town, but Ales, Apps and Barrels of Fun offers something unique: a chance to play, explore, and enjoy a grown-up night of child-like fun in the Children’s Museum. Plus, it’s just for us big kids!
Ales, Apps, and Barrels of Fun offers all the typical beer fest stuff – craft beer, tasty snacks, and music so you can get your sway on. But in addition, Ales, Apps and Barrels of Fun will open up the Children’s Museum so we can play in their world-class exhibits, just like you have always secretly wanted to do! Want to launch a rocket? See which of your friends can blow the biggest bubble? Race to the top of Altitude? You can do it, and then some. It’s a great excuse to let your inner kid out for the night. Plus you still get beer, so it’s literally the best of both worlds!

Is it obvious that we’re excited?
I don’t know if you can tell, but we are pretty fired up about this fantastic, fun idea for a festival. We purchased tickets the moment we heard about the fest, and in all honesty, we’re pretty shocked it didn’t immediately sell out. If you think a night of letting your inner child run wild sounds like fun, we suggest you get your tickets before all the other adults get wise and snatch them up. Tickets are just $35, a small price to pay to be a kid again. Proceeds support the Denver Children’s Museum, so you can still feel that grown-up sense of being a good person. It will be our little secret that you’re really just doing it for the rockets and s’mores.
Ales, Apps & Barrels of Fun promises to be a night of great craft beer, light bites, and lots of fun! All proceeds support the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus in their educational programming and initiatives. Update: This event is sold out. Hopefully, you took our advice and got your tickets while they were available!
