Tomorrow Marks the 8th Annual Avery Big Ass Tap Takeover at Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar

The 8th Annual Big Ass Tap Takeover

This Saturday, April 27, you can celebrate big beers, delicious pizza, and more when Avery Brewing Co takes control of the taps at seven Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar locations for the 8th Annual Big Ass Tap Takeover. Stop by a participating Parry’s Pizzeria anytime tomorrow for all your Avery favorites, plus rare and vintage brews, food, and much more.

It’s hard to believe the Big Ass Tap Takeover is on their 8th year. Where has the time gone?! We have been attending the annual event since we first heard about it in 2013, their second year. It was such a good time that we’ve made a point to stop by each year since. The party has gotten bigger and better each year, so we can’t wait to see what fun awaits us this year.

About the Big Ass Tap Takeover

Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar, known as much for their great beer selection as they are for their delicious NY-style pizza, is once again celebrating Avery Brewing Co with the largest tapping in one day from a single brewery at its restaurants.

Each of the seven participating Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar locations will pour as many as 40 Avery beers. The tap list includes all your tried-and-true favorites, like Avery IPA and taproom-only beers, as well as several retired, vintage selections that will be released throughout the day. Some of those rarities include Uncle Jacob’s Stout, Beermosa, beers from Avery’s Demon series, and Double Dry-Hopped Mahajara.

The Avery team, including Adam Avery, will once again travel to all the participating Parry’s locations to join in their celebrations. They’ll start the party off in Castle Rock with a kick-off toast, followed by stops at Highlands Ranch, SouthGlenn, Northglenn, Johnstown, and Longmont. All day long Parry’s will be raffling off prizes at all locations, including a grand prize raffle for a VIP Avery brewery tour for four at each store.

What’s New For 2019

This year, Parry’s and Avery are kicking the party up a notch with the release of their first ever collaboration beer, Ask Again L8r. The beer is described as a unique sour blend inspired the flavors in Parry’s NY-style pizza, with soft aromas of basil, a delicately-aged sour base, and a finish that has the sweetness of fresh pineapple. The beer was designed to pair perfectly with the acidity of Parry’s homemade pizza sauce to help enhance your pizza eating experience. You can try it with Adam Avery’s favorite pizza, on the menu for this one day only.

Exclusively at the Highlands Ranch, Northglenn and Longmont locations, Avery will be tapping a mini rare barrel-aged beer created just for this event. The Big Ass Tap Takeover is also the official release party for Avery Brewing’s Double Digit, a hazy double IPA that will be hitting the market this spring.
