Present CBD-Infused Sparkling Water
Present CBD-Infused Sparkling Water is a collaborative venture between Left Hand Brewing Company and WAAYB Organics. Present contains 20mg of full-spectrum USDA Organic CBD distillate, organic flavorings, and Rocky Mountain water. The new joint venture combines Left Hand’s 25 years of beer industry know-how with WAAYB Organic’s expertise in cultivating, extracting, and distilling CBD.

It All Starts on the Farm
Earlier this month, we were invited to visit WAAYB Organic’s family farm in Longmont for the release of Present CBD-Infused Sparkling Water. We were super excited to visit the farm. Honestly, we’re stoked to visit a farm of any sort, as we both have a good amount of awe and envy when we get an up-close look at the farming lifestyle. But a hemp farm was a first for us, so this trip was special. It was also going to be our first chance to sample Present CBD-Infused Sparkling Water.
Touring the WAAYB Organics Farm
Anson Mitchell, Co-Founder of WAAYB Organics, gave us a tour of the property and it was both beautiful and impressive. As a USDA Certified Organic farm, their hemp plants are free of pesticides and grown in soil free of toxins. In fact, WAAYB Organics is hands-on for the entire lifecycle of their hemp, from seed to cultivation to processing the harvest by hand. Everything is done on this farm. At a nearby facility in Berthod, WAAYB Organics then extracts their oil using supercritical CO2 extraction, a solvent-free method for collecting CBD oil.
“We oversee the entire process from putting seeds into soil, to cultivation, harvesting, extraction and distillation,” says Scott Cusack, CEO of WAAYB Organics. “We firmly believe this is the only way to create CBD products our customers can trust.”
Once WAAYB Organics finishes the CBD distillation process, Left Hand Brewing Company takes over to create Present. Left Hand infuses, cans, and distributes Present CBD-Infused Sparkling Water. Left Hand Brewing Company is only about 4 miles from the WAAYB Organics farm in Longmont, a factor that played a big role in these two companies partnering on this joint venture.
“My father started farming the WAAYB farmland in the 1980’s and has visited the Left Hand taproom since they opened in 1994,” says WAAYB’s Co-Founder, Anson Mitchell. “The idea for an organic CBD beverage started while sharing some beers with Eric Wallace and it’s incredible to see that conversation evolve into a reality that consumers all over the country will enjoy.”
Tasting Present For Ourselves
A warm and sunshine-filled afternoon was the perfect time to enjoy Present CBD-Infused Sparkling Water. We both found Present to be very clean-drinking and refreshing, especially during our quick hike around the farm. We tasted all three flavors – blood orange, lemon-lime, and natural – and they were each delicious. If you’re nervous that the CBD would impart any type of funky flavor, you can take our word that it didn’t. Present CBD-Infused Sparkling Water tasted just like any other non-alcoholic seltzer we’ve tried, if not better.

About CBD
Much like sparkling water, CBD – which stands for cannabidiol – is popping up everywhere. But what is it?
CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis plant. WAAYB Organics sources their CBD from organically grown industrial hemp.
