We weren’t planning on drinking away our Sunday afternoon. We went out to run a few errands and planned to spend the afternoon at home, getting ready for the week ahead. We had the best of intentions. But you know what? We have the best time when we just give up on our plans and go with the flow. It’s sort of a habit of ours, and that’s exactly what happened this particular Sunday.
This month’s weather has been a gift from Mother Nature. Usually, March is the snowiest month of the year in Colorado. So far this month we haven’t seen a single flake in the Denver metro area. Happy “You Survived St. Patrick’s Day” Day! Are you recovered from all your holiday shenanigans? We’re mostly recovered, but it was definitely touch-and-go for a bit. We spent a day celebrating the holiday with our Colorado Parrot Head Club friends. I’ll admit right away that our visit to Dry Dock Brewing Co in Aurora was really sort of an accident. We actually had to make a run to The Brew Hut for some homebrewing supplies, and being that Dry Dock is attached to The Brew Hut it seems almost rude to not pop in for a pint.
We weren’t supposed to end up at Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont. It wasn’t on our agenda when we left the house to pick up our good friends, Shawn and Jessica.
