After nearly 5 years as one of Denver’s finest homebrew shops and neighborhood craft breweries, CO-Brew announced they’ll be closing up shop. The announcement was made on their Facebook page on Friday. CO-Brew named downtown Denver’s rising rents along with the decline in the homebrew industry as reasons why they won’t be renewing their lease.
Even in a state with countless incredible cities and towns, Pagosa Springs, Colorado is a special place. It’s nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountain range, surrounded by national forest land, and home to the world’s deepest geothermal hot spring aquifer. In short, Pagosa Springs is an excellent location for all types of Colorado adventures. It’s also home to one of our favorite Colorado brewpubs: Pagosa Brewing Company.
Last week many in the craft beer industry were shocked by the news of the Boston Beer Company and Dogfish Head Brewery merger. Certainly, you’ve seen the news and read the reaction comments and stories from every beer geek and their brother. Everyone has an opinion, including us, but you’ll be happy to know that isn’t what this story is about. This story is about our love of Dogfish Head, and last summer when we […]
Technically speaking, Wild Blue Yonder Brewing Company is the youngest of our five Castle Rock craft breweries. But while they’ve been open for business only 4 months, the story behind this brewery is at least 5 years old. And while it’s taken years for the family behind Wild Blue Yonder to convert their dream of a brewery to reality, it only goes to proves the adage that good things come to those who wait.
When we met BURLY Brewing Company founder George Goodman in late 2017, he shared with us his dream for the brewery he planned to open in Castle Rock. His brewery would feature a large, comfortable gathering space, filled with natural woods and custom-made decor. There would be a stage for live music inside, a patio for enjoying the scenery outside, and a private room where small groups could gather. His brewhouse would be large enough […]
Castle Rock, Colorado may have more than 62,000 residents, but it’s the biggest little small town you’ll ever visit. Live here for a while and frequent our town restaurants, bars, and breweries, and eventually, you’ll realize you start to recognize all the faces. We didn’t know anyone in Castle Rock when we moved here in 2005. Over the years we’ve made countless friends and acquaintances. It means we (mostly) don’t go out looking as grungy […]
Today marks the beginning of Castle Rock Craft Beer Week, which takes place now through March 3. As proud Castle Rock residents we want to join the celebration of our local craft beer scene by shining a spotlight on our five Castle Rock craft breweries this week. We are kicking things off today with a look at the longest running brewpub in Douglas County: Rockyard Brewing Company.

At least, that was our experience when we went to Colorado Springs for Red Leg Brewing Company’s 5th Anniversary Party. We attended the Red Leg shindig with our buddy and honorary BMT member for the day, Chris. Red Leg Brewing Company […]

Last week was a very good week for WeldWerks Truth be told, the last few years have gone pretty well for WeldWerks Brewing Company. Considering the success and name recognition that this Greeley-based brewery has achieved in just three years, they definitely don’t have anything to complain about. But even by those standards, last week was particularly awesome.
The wait is finally over. Thirsty Monk Denver opened their doors to the public yesterday. We are so happy to welcome them to our local craft beer scene!
