There’s no shortage of celebrities trying to sell us booze. But the (fake) viral marketing campaign sent out yesterday for Aviation American Gin is enough to make us want to fork over our hard-earned cash for a bottle of the hooch. And that’s saying a lot, considering one of us isn’t even allowed to drink gin anymore. (Don’t worry, he knows why.)
Happy National Cheesecake Day! Is there any better dessert to enjoy when you’re giving in to temptation than cheesecake? Cheesecake is simply one of the best desserts around no matter what the occasion or time of year, at least in our humble opinions. Since today is National Cheesecake Day, you hereby have our permission to indulge. You know that we had to find a way to bring our love of cheesecake together with our love […]
Helloooo friends of Bottle Makes Three! You may have noticed that BMT has been on a bit of a sabbatical the past few months. Sorry for all the silent nights around here. The last quarter of 2018 has been packed with exciting changes for us, not the least of which was the somewhat impulsive decision to sell our old house and buy a new one. Apparently, there’s a lot of work involved with staging, listing, […]
We have nothing much to say except TGIF and Happy Weekend! It’s finally here folks, it’s just about 5 o’clock on Friday. What are you still doing here reading blog posts on the internet? You should be at your local brewery enjoying some brews! Well, since you’re here we promise to keep this short so you can get started on the happy hour. We understand priorities.
Happy National IPA Day 2018 everybody! Yes, today is the one day a year that you have an excuse, or better yet, an obligation, to enjoy a delicious India Pale Ale. Heck, enjoy a few of them. We certainly won’t judge you, especially on such a holy day such as National IPA Day! In fact, as soon as we hit “publish” on this post tonight, we’ll probably be joining in the celebration ourselves. Cheers!
It took longer than we expected, but we are back! Well, if we’re being honest, we’re back-ish. We have wrapped up most of the things that have kept us so overwhelmed and busy the past few months, which is great. Unfortunately, we still haven’t been anywhere or done anything, so there’s not a lot to share…. yet. That all changes tonight, when we finally get back out there, visit some breweries, and get back to […]
Howdy friends. It’s been a while, so we thought we should reassure everyone that we’re still alive. Not only that, but we’re still alive and drinking! We just haven’t been able to make time to write about it for quite some time. In fact, we haven’t gotten out nearly enough the last few weeks. It sucks, but the upside is that we’ve finally cleared out a lot of beer in our beer fridge. Here’s some […]
Happy Repeal Day! Today marks an important day in American history for all of you fellow libation lovers out there. It was on this day 84 years ago that prohibition was repealed after 13 long, dry years. Prohibition was a dark time for the country, and we don’t say that just because we like booze. The 18th Amendment, which was ratified on January 29, 1919, and took effect in early 1920, prohibited the manufacturing, transportation, […]
Friends of Bottle Makes Three, stop everything…. today is National Beer Lover’s Day! Isn’t Every Day National Beer Lover’s Day? Yes, it’s true that we love beer every day. Still, someone decided that annually on September 7 we should officially celebrate National Beer Lover’s Day and who are we to stop them? Clearly, it’s just a silly, made-up internet holiday. But if we’re going to celebrate every other weird holiday (I’m looking at you, Talk Like a […]
Hi everyone! We don’t have any more beer events to report on this week, but instead we wanted to bring you up to speed on what’s been happening behind the scenes here at Bottle Makes Three. Yeah, we know you’d rather hear about beer, but we like to share. Deal with it. So this will be one of those posts that gives you a peek inside our heads (yikes) and into some of the personal […]
Hey guys, guess what? It’s 2017! We finally made it out of the dumpster fire that was 2016 and can once again be optimistic about the start of a new year. Or at least that’s how I was feeling on New Year’s Day, just before I got hit with the flu bug. We can’t blame 2017 for the virus, clearly the bug was just one final attack from 2016. Well played, 2016. You found a […]
