Happy 2020 everyone! We hope you had a wonderful, fun, and relaxing holiday season. We sure did… with emphasis on the relaxing part. Mid-week holidays kept us from doing anything too exciting, so we enjoyed doing nothing over the holidays. Nada. We didn’t even go out and make a spectacle of ourselves for New Year’s Eve. Instead, we watched the ball drop in NYC from our couch, and we were eye-shut long before midnight in […]
There’s no shortage of celebrities trying to sell us booze. But the (fake) viral marketing campaign sent out yesterday for Aviation American Gin is enough to make us want to fork over our hard-earned cash for a bottle of the hooch. And that’s saying a lot, considering one of us isn’t even allowed to drink gin anymore. (Don’t worry, he knows why.)
We have nothing much to say except TGIF and Happy Weekend! It’s finally here folks, it’s just about 5 o’clock on Friday. What are you still doing here reading blog posts on the internet? You should be at your local brewery enjoying some brews! Well, since you’re here we promise to keep this short so you can get started on the happy hour. We understand priorities.
Friends of Bottle Makes Three, stop everything…. today is National Beer Lover’s Day! Isn’t Every Day National Beer Lover’s Day? Yes, it’s true that we love beer every day. Still, someone decided that annually on September 7 we should officially celebrate National Beer Lover’s Day and who are we to stop them? Clearly, it’s just a silly, made-up internet holiday. But if we’re going to celebrate every other weird holiday (I’m looking at you, Talk Like a […]
Call it sour grapes, but here in Denver, we’re not feeling the Super Bowl spirit this year. Since our Broncos got kicked out of the playoffs embarrassingly early, we’re still feeling a little deflated. [Insert your own clever New England #deflategate pun here.]
With just a few hours left in 2014, today is a day of great reflection on all that the past year has given us. For Bottle Makes Three, 2014 was a breakthrough year. We attended our first Beer Bloggers Conference, which has helped us find our voice and understand our role in the craft beer community. We’ve focused on bringing you more interesting content, and while we still have a ways to go to reach […]
This has been one helluva long week. Thank goodness it’s Friday, so we can wash this week away with some cold, delicious beers.
On Saturday, June 30, we did something fun that didn’t even involve a brewery. Can you even believe it? We teamed up with our friends Becky and Scott (Rascal) and participated in Challenge Nation Denver, an urban adventure race.
We had to visit the Brew Hut this past Sunday for some homebrewing supplies. We decided to go to Dry Dock Brewing for one beer. Just one. Jeff had to try their Hop Abomination, after all. It would be silly to go all that way and not have a pint. In solidarity, I had a Breakwater Pale Ale. We would each have one, and then we would be on our way home to finish our Sunday […]
