Epic Beer Festival Recap

The inaugural Epic Beer Festival is (long) behind us, and after some thoughtful contemplation (AKA time to sober up) I think it’s safe to call it a success. At long last, here’s our recap of the Friday night and Saturday afternoon sessions that we attended

This Weekend Is Going To Be EPIC

The Epic Beer Festival Comes To Denver This weekend the Epic Beer Festival arrives in Denver with tasting sessions tonight and Saturday. Your Bottle Makes Three team will be at tonight’s inaugural Epic Beer Festival session, working as volunteer pourers. Tomorrow night we’ll return tp the second session as attendees, drinking beer instead of pouring them.

Challenge Accepted, Again

Challenge Nation was back in Denver this past Saturday, and once again we proved to be up for the challenge! We reunited with our 2012 Denver Challenge Nation team, Becky and Scott and called ourselves The Lost Shakers of Salt. This year, we came in number one… hundred and twenty-one. Yep, 121. Maybe we didn’t crack the top ten, or even the top 100, but we had a great time! Plus we finished all 12 […]

Catching Up with BMT

Will you ever forgive us for being so neglectful to our little blog? It’s been about three months since our last post. There’s no excuse for being gone so long, so we won’t even bother making one up. Instead, we’ll just move forward, and recap some of what we’ve been up to over the past 89 days.

Beads, Barrels, and lots of Beer!

Holy Frijoles, have we been busy with some fun local beer events! Beer season is not even in full gear yet, and it seems every weekend there are lots of great activities to choose from. We’ve had so much fun that we have, once again, fallen behind in updating our BMT friends about all of our shenanigans. Yep, it’s a pitfall of being on the BMT crew; sometimes you’re enjoying yourself too much to stop […]

Goodbye Summer, Hello Oktoberfest!

Summer is coming to an end, my friends. The days of backyard barbecues, sunny patios and short sleeves will soon be behind us, replaced by shorter days, cooler evenings, and falling leaves. Since we both grew up in warmer climates (Arizona for Jeff, Florida for me) it’s always a little sad to see summertime end. The thought of packing up my shorts and flip-flops can be downright depressing. But then it happens, we see the […]

Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival

The big day was finally here! Like kids waiting for Christmas, we had been planning our Breckenridge trip for weeks to attend the Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival. Sure there are other, bigger beer festivals in town – but this one is still one of our favorites and in our opinion, one of the best in Colorado. They offer beautiful mountain views, a cozy lakeside location at Main Street Station, and lets face it, some great […]

The Summit of Bluegrass and Brews on Lake Dillon

This weekend was a hot one in Denver. Temperatures were expected to peak 100° F, so we were looking for any way to keep cool. Lucky for us, Saturday afternoon the 2012 Summit of Bluegrass and Brews was taking place in Dillon, Colorado.  Dillon is located in the Rocky Mountains where it’s considerably cooler, and this particular event was right along the beautiful shores of Lake Dillon. Obviously, there was no reason for us to […]

Good Times at the G’Knight Ride

Beer and bikes are two of our favorite things, so we were excited to be participating in the 2nd Annual G’Knight Ride in Longmont. Festivities started at Prospect Park in Longmont, and the entire event was sponsored by Oskar Blues Brewing Company and presented by Bicycle Longmont.
