There is something about summertime in Colorado that always makes us want to explore. We love to pack our car up for the weekend and hit the road, discovering new places and taking in all the beauty and adventure Colorado offers along the route. Of course, it’s even better when there’s great craft beer at the end of the trip, which is why we’re big fans of the Colorado Brewers Rendezvous. This fantastic beer fest […]
Today marks the first day of American Craft Beer Week (ACBW)! From May 14-20 we celebrate the more than 6300 small and independent brewers in America. This is the 13th consecutive year that CraftBeer.com, the Brewers Association’s website for beer lovers, has presented this event. All week beer enthusiasts can take part in special ACBW events including exclusive brewery tours, special beer releases, beer and food pairings, tap takeovers and more.
We made it to Friday, y’all. What a roller coaster of a week we had in Colorado. In our home-base of Castle Rock it snowed one week ago on Friday. That was followed by several very warm (albeit windy) summer-like days. This morning we awoke to find snow on the ground once again. We’ve enjoyed the full weather spectrum in just one week. Isn’t springtime in Colorado fun? Speaking of fun, are you still looking for […]
The Collaboration Fest took place last weekend and we think this year’s fest was the best yet! In its 5th year, the Collaboration Fest has already emerged as one of our most anticipated beer festivals of the year. Attending the festival is the perfect way to kick off Colorado Craft Beer Week.
Happy February! This may be a short month, but it’s packed full of fun times. We get to spend a day paying attention to groundhogs, shower our true love with greeting cards and flowers, and we even get to celebrate the birth of one of your favorite Bottle Makes Three folks! But best of all, we also get to celebrate Stout Month! With big roasted malts and full bodies, February is the perfect month to indulge […]
Adulting is hard. Getting up and going to work 5-days a week can be a real drag. Paying bills, doing laundry, dealing with other adults… it’s all just a bit much, ya know? Sure, we have the freedom to drink beer and stay up late and do mostly whatever we want. But is it really a fair trade-off compared to all the fun and freedom we had as kids? Even when we do have free […]
The 5th Annual Collaboration Beer Fest is returning to downtown Denver on Saturday, March 31. More than just a beer festival, the Collaboration Fest is a fun celebration of the unique camaraderie that craft breweries share. It’s one of our most anticipated festivals each year and one that we don’t think you should miss!
Photographer Dustin Hall brings the art of photography and the art of brewing together in his new book, Discovering Colorado Breweries. In this 232-page coffee table book you will find the stunning photographs Hall has taken at over 70 Colorado craft breweries. While the book doesn’t get released until next month, we think just the promise of this book would make a great holiday gift for any Colorado craft beer lover!

Happy Repeal Day! Today marks an important day in American history for all of you fellow libation lovers out there. It was on this day 84 years ago that prohibition was repealed after 13 long, dry years. Prohibition was a dark time for the country, and we don’t say that just because we like booze. The 18th Amendment, which was ratified on January 29, 1919, and took effect in early 1920, prohibited the manufacturing, transportation, […]
The 2017 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition concluded on Saturday. The ceremony awarded 293 gold, silver and bronze medals to some of the best commercial breweries in the United States, plus 3 GABF Pro-Am teams of homebrewers & professionals. Colorado breweries claimed 38 of these medals, maintaining the same medal count as they’ve had the previous two years. In a competition that saw a total of 7,923 entries from 2,217 breweries, maintaining 38 is […]
