This Weekend Is Going To Be EPIC

This weekend the Epic Beer Festival arrives in Denver with tasting sessions tonight and Saturday. Your Bottle Makes Three team will be at tonight’s inaugural Epic Beer Festival session, working as volunteer pourers. Tomorrow night we’ll return tp the second session as attendees, drinking beer instead of pouring them. We are regular volunteers at the Great American Beer Festival, so it will be interesting to see how the Epic Beer Festival is different from GABF, the big daddy […]

Challenge Accepted. Again.

Challenge Nation was back in Denver this past Saturday, and once again we proved to be up for the challenge!   We reunited with our 2012 Denver Challenge Nation team, Becky and Scott (aka White Rascal & Twinkie), and called ourselves The Lost Shakers of Salt. This year, we came in number one… hundred and twenty-one.  Yep, 121.  Maybe we didn’t crack the top ten, or even the top 100, but we had a great time! […]

Catching Up with BMT

Will you ever forgive us for being so neglectful to our little blog? It’s been about three months since our last post. There’s no excuse for being gone so long, so we won’t even bother making one up. Instead we’ll just move forward, and recap some of what we’ve been up to over the past 89 days. First of all, we want to assure you that while we haven’t had time to write, we have […]

Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival

The big day was finally here! Like kids waiting for Christmas, we had been planning our Breckenridge trip for weeks to attend the Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival. Sure there are other, bigger beer festivals in town – but this one is still one of our favorites and in our opinion, one of the best in Colorado. They offer beautiful mountain views, a cozy lakeside location at Main Street Station, and lets face it, some great […]

We Survived Challenge Nation Denver

On Saturday, June 30, we did something fun that didn’t even involve a brewery. Can you even believe it? We teamed up with our friends Becky and Scott (Rascal) and participated in Challenge Nation Denver, an urban adventure race. What is Challenge Nation? Challenge Nation is described as part 5k, part scavenger hunt, and part urban exploration. You compete in teams against other challengers to solve clues, race to specific locations, and complete challenges along the […]

The Summit of Bluegrass and Brews on Lake Dillon

This weekend was a hot one in Denver. Temperatures were expected to peak 100° F, so we were looking for any way to keep cool. Lucky for us, Saturday afternoon the 2012 Summit of Bluegrass and Brews was taking place in Dillon, Colorado.  Dillon is located in the Rocky Mountains where it’s considerably cooler, and this particular event was right along the beautiful shores of Lake Dillon. Obviously there were no reason for us to […]

Good Times at the G’Knight Ride

Beer and bikes are two of our favorite things, so we were excited to be participating in the 2nd Annual G’Knight Ride in Longmont. Festivities started at Prospect Park in Longmont, and the entire even was sponsored by Oskar Blues Brewing Company and presented by Bicycle Longmont. Oskar Blues G’Knight Ride This was the first ride of the summer for us, so we were a bit apprehensive about doing the full 10-mile ride. Fortunately, the G’Knight ride […]

Recovering From St. Paddy’s Shenanigans at Rockyard Brewing Company

Happy “You Survived St. Patrick’s Day” Day! Are you recovered from all your holiday shenanigans? We’re mostly recovered, but it was definitely touch-and-go for a bit. We spent a day celebrating the holiday with our Colorado Parrot Head Club friends. Our group participated in the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade, so the celebration started early and continued all day long! We spent the night at a Denver hotel so we could safely imbibe with a […]
