Today marks the first day of American Craft Beer Week (ACBW)! From May 14-20 we celebrate the more than 6300 small and independent brewers in America. This is the 13th consecutive year that CraftBeer.com, the Brewers Association’s website for beer lovers, has presented this event. All week beer enthusiasts can take part in special ACBW events including exclusive brewery tours, special beer releases, beer and food pairings, tap takeovers and more.
Colorado craft beer scored big at the 2018 World Beer Cup. At the award ceremony held in Nashville last night, 28 World Beer Cup awards were given to Colorado breweries, including 7 golds medals. Winners came from cities throughout the state and included several returning champs plus many first-time winners. The 2017 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition concluded on Saturday. The ceremony awarded 293 gold, silver and bronze medals to some of the best commercial breweries in the United States, plus 3 GABF Pro-Am teams of homebrewers & professionals. Oskar Blues Brewery and the CAN’d Aid Foundation has partnered with Frontier Airlines to bring the people of Puerto Rico what they most desperately need: clean drinking water.
