Hey there. Yeah, we know, it’s been a while. It’s all very awkward to start writing again when we’ve been clearly negligent for several weeks…. or months. We won’t bore you with the same old stale excuses, but suffice it to say that major work projects and other happenings have just occupied all our time. In fact, we were gone so long that even our own beer blog didn’t recognize us… and we spent several […]
The last day of the 2016 session at the Colorado House saw the passage of a historic bill that may expand liquor sales in Colorado grocery stores. Best of all, this new bill is said to have the support of local liquor store owners and craft beer makers.
The Brewers Association released their annual growth figures last week, announcing that once again in 2015 craft brewers continue to experience double-digit market growth. Our news feeds were quick to fill up with articles about the beer industry growth and the continued success of craft breweries nationwide. TGIF y’all! We don’t know about you, but we’re so ready to start this weekend. The cooler weather we experienced mid-week is a reminder that we’re only guaranteed a few more hot summer weekends, so it’s time to take advantage of them while we can. For us that means some hiking, spending some quality time in the backyard, and taking advantage of sitting on a sunny patio somewhere to enjoy some delicious craft beers.
There was a big announcement from New Belgium Brewing yesterday. Christine Perich has been named New Belgium’s new CEO, replacing brewery co-founder Kim Jordan. Perich, who had been the company’s COO and President, now takes over the full day-to-day company operations. Perich has been with New Belgium since 2000 and was instrumental in transitioning the company into a 100% employee-owned company back in 2013. Kim Jordan will remain with New Belgium as the Executive Chair […]
