Springtime in Colorado. We’ve mentioned it before, but the weather this time of year is anything but boring. One day we’re wearing shorts and flip-flops, enjoying drinks on the patio. The following day our patio furniture is covered in snow, again. Rain, snow, wind… anything goes this time of year, and sometimes the weather is just plain ugly. Fortunately, summer is just around the corner and ready to bring with it some sunshine, warm breezes, […]

Oskar Blues Brewery and the CAN’d Aid Foundation has partnered with Frontier Airlines to bring the people of Puerto Rico what they most desperately need: clean drinking water.
It’s been admittedly quiet around here. Never fear, your faithful Bottle Makes Three team has just been busy catching up from vacation and gearing up for GABF, so we’ve been neglectful in our posts. We’ll be back full steam next week. In the meantime, here’s a roundup of beer news from other great sites to hold you over.
Colorado Craft Beer Week kicked off last weekend with the Collaboration Fest, and all week long there have been special tappings and beer events all around the state. This weekend wraps up the annual celebration of Colorado craft beer, but there are still plenty of events on the schedule to end the festivities with a bang! Today we’re highlighting some of the events lined up for this weekend, but for a full schedule of CCBW events visit the Colorado Craft Beer […]
It seems like just yesterday we just updated our blog with a flurry of posts, only to fall behind once again. It’s really not our fault. It’s summertime, and while the livin’ is easy, the blogging is sort of a pain in the ass. When the weather is warm and the drinks are cold, it’s easy to lose focus. It’s difficult to sit in front of the computer when the sunshine and warm breezes […]
When we heard that there was going to be an AHA Rally at Oskar Blues in Longmont, we wasted no time RSVP’ing! Last summer I attended the AHA Rally at Wynkoop Brewing, and it was a blast, but Jeff was out-of-town and totally missed out. This time, we were both going to be there to mingle with other homebrewers, sample some unique brews and visit one of our favorite brewery taprooms, the Tasty Weasel. Clearly, […]
Beer and bikes are two of our favorite things, so we were excited to be participating in the 2nd Annual G’Knight Ride in Longmont. Festivities started at Prospect Park in Longmont, and the entire even was sponsored by Oskar Blues Brewing Company and presented by Bicycle Longmont. Oskar Blues G’Knight Ride This was the first ride of the summer for us, so we were a bit apprehensive about doing the full 10-mile ride. Fortunately, the G’Knight ride […]
We weren’t supposed to end up at Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont. It wasn’t on our agenda when we left the house to pick up our good friends, Shawn and Jessica. We were going to grab a quick breakfast and then all head up to Nederland for the crazy outdoor celebration/drink-fest knows as Frozen Dead Guy Days. We would all spend the day outside, celebrating the dead dude that’s been kept on dry ice in […]
