TGIF! It’s the final Friday of February and that means we’re one month closer to warmer weather. I’m not saying that your Bottle Makes Three team hates winter, but at least this writer is ready to punch someone in the face if she hears the phrase “polar vortex” one more time. This winter has been too cold for too long, and with the end still a few months away I admit I’m getting cranky. Don’t worry, it’s nothing that a cold pint of beer won’t fix.
If you’re not as weary of winter as I am, maybe you don’t have a reason to drink this Friday. If that’s the case, feel free to raise a pint for us, because tomorrow our humble little Bottle Makes Three website turns 2 years old! During our two years, we’ve visited 69 breweries, a few random wineries and distilleries, and countless beer festivals. We’ve even written about a few of them! We realize we’re hit-and-miss on the actually writing part, but we’ve posted 81 posts in our two years, so that’s not too shabby.
During the past few months, we’ve been putting some actual thought and effort into the future of this blog. Yes, thinking is hard… but sometimes you just have to give in and do it anyway. In the end, we’ve decided that it’s time to make a few changes and really re-invest ourselves to making Bottle Makes Three more than just a modest little beer journal. We don’t want to spill the beans, but we are working on bringing our fans (all, I don’t know… 10 of you?) more interesting and relative content in this new year. Look forward to more articles, not just about our beer adventures, but hopefully about much more. Trust me… we have ideas. Big ones. You’ll just need to stay tuned to see where we’re going with all of this, and if we have the wherewithal to follow through.
So, cheers to the past two years and all of you boozers who have drunk with us and made it all so much fun. Here’s to a new start and even more adventures!
